Power PCs do battle, and one emerges…

At the fabulous Upgrade Australia event we recently held, the Power Arena made its debut. Hosted by master overclocker and all-round performance addict Josh Collins, we invited submissions from across the land. Josh pitted each against each other in a battle of benchmarking intensity, and after many hours of grueling number crunching a winner was clear.

Congratulations to TI Computers for winning the Professional Class Competition! The TI Strix Dream PC is a beautiful build. Top end components feature extensively. When you put a potent i7 6700K OC’d CPU in an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard, pair it with a Samsung 950 Pro SSD for speed and a 2TB Seagate HDD for storage, and feed it all through an Asus Strix 8G GTX 1080 graphics card then it all adds up to big numbers. Benchmarking numbers, that is. Priced at a fair $2,980 it exemplifies a well thought out build that won’t destroy your wallet.

Thanks to everyone that participated in this, our first Power Arena, and once again, a big congratulations to John and the team at TI Computers for battling it out and winning against some stiff competition.
