Nintendo has revealed the file size for Super Mario Odyssey, which is… (drum roll!)… 5.7 GB. Which isn’t that much, considering that it’s a big game with lots of large, open world levels.
In fact, Super Mario Odyssey is just a bit larger than the insane save games of NBA 2K18, which are 5 GB each (!)
By comparison, Zelda: Breath of the Wild requires 13 GB of storage, while Splatoon needs 3.1 GB.
It’s quite impressive that Nintendo managed to squeeze the game down to just 5.7 GB — from what we’ve seen so far, Super Mario Odyssey is a massive game.
Super Mario Odyssey launches on October 27 and will get a new Switch bundle as well.
