Personally speaking, the first thing I always do when I build a new PC is power up whatever the latest game that I’m into, and check out how good it looks on the new hardware. But what I should do is do some testing to make sure everything is hunky-dory.

Enter PCMark, and in particular, the newly released PCMark 10.

The new version offers both improved workloads, while taking half the time to run – so great if you’re in a hurry like I usually am. It also runs from one click, offers multi-level reporting across all aspects of PC performance, and shares a similar look and feel to 3DMark and VRMark.
